Inaugural Committee funding, part 2 (It must be Friday edition)
The Obama inaugural effort has raised about $9.7 million from 243 donors so far, according to the report it just released. (More after the jump.)
Of the total, almost $8.5 million (86.9 percent) came from 169 donors who gave $50,000, the maximum donation permitted by the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
At least 21 of Obama's bundlers gave a combined $910,000 to his inaugural efforts. They previously had raised at least $4.6 million for the campaign.
Eighty-eight of the inaugural donors, who together donated $3.7 million, had given donations of $10,000 or more, almost $2.4 million, to Obama's joint-fundraising efforts with the Democratic National Committee.
The PIC also has listed 62 bundlers so far, although only seven have actual fundraising tallies, credited with raising $300,000 apiece. They are:
- Nicole Avant
- Ambassador Elizabeth Bagley
- Mike Berkowitz
- Mary Pat Bonner
- Tirzah Firestone
- David Friedman
- Dr. Agnes Varis & Karl Leichtman
We will be posting charts, listing the names of inaugural donors who have been bundlers. We also will be rolling out charts that explore other relationships between the PIC bundlers and donors and other groups (appointees, lobbyists, etc.) over the weekend.
