Richard Parsons - Transition Economic Advisory Board

Parsons is the chairman of the Board of Time Warner, a media conglomerate whose businesses include "filmed entertainment, interactive services, television networks, cable systems and publishing," according to its Web site.

Parsons stepped down as CEO in December 2007, after holding that position and similar leadership positions since he became president in early 1995. A Republican, Parsons served in government positions in the early 1970s, working for former New York Republican Gov. Nelson Rockfeller and later Gerald Ford. It was during the Ford Administration  that Parsons first met Rudy Giuliani, whom he would later work with and would endorse in his New York city mayoral bid. Parsons's continued involvement in an Obama administration, if it happens, might indicate a willingness to deliver on campaign promises of bipartisanship, since Parsons has served every Republican president since Richard Nixon, according to the New York Times. Parsons also is a director for Citigroup and Estee Lauder Companies .
