Some rumored SEC chair appointments are Obama financial supporters
Today, Politico listed seven candidates to replace the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Christopher Cox. One of those candidates was a major donor to Obama's presidential effort and another was a major donor and fundraiser.
Mellody Hobson was a bundler who raised between $100,000 to $200,000 for Obama's campaign. She contributed $28,500 to Obama's joint-fundraising committee.
Robert C. Pozen, another candidate, contributed $14,600 to Obama's campaign and joint fundraising committees. Pozen's wife, Elizabeth, and his daughter, Joanna, gave another $33,100 and $11,000, for a combined family total of $58,700 to Obama's campaign and joint fundraising committees.
Roel Campos, a member of Obama's Transition Economic Advisory Committee, contributed $13,300 to Obama's campaign and joint fundraising committees. He has been reported as a possible choice by the financial newspaper Pensions & Investments.
